[The Three Principles] The Third Principle – Knowing the Prophet

Posted on September 4, 2014

After the Prophet was settled in Madinah, other rulings of the Sharee’ah were revealed like Salaat, Zakaat, Hajj, Struggling in the path of Allah, call to prayer, enjoining the good, forbidding the evil, etc.

This continued for ten years and then the Prophet passed away but his religion remains – there is no good except that the Prophet has guided us to it and there is no evil except that Allah’s Messenger has warned us against it.

The good that the Prophet guided us to is Tawheed and everything that Allah loves and is pleased with.
The evil is that which the Prophet has warned us against; Shirk and everything Allah hates and rejects.

Allah sent the Prophet to all mankind and obligated his obedience for jinn and mankind.

Proof is the Saying of Allah,
“Say (O Muhammad ), “O mankind! Verily, I am sent to you all.”
[Soorah al-A’raf (7): 158]

Allah completed the Religion through Prophet ,
“This day, I have perfected your religion for you, completed My Favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion.”
[Soorah al-Maidah (5): 3]

Proof of the Prophet’s death is the saying of Allah,
“Verily, you (O Muhammad) will die and verily, they (too) will die.
Then, on the Day of Resurrection, you will be disputing before your Lord.” [Soorah az-Zumar(39): 30-31]
